  • Holly Evans has represented members of the electronics industry on international, federal, and state environmental law and policy matters since 1996. 
  • Clients include trade assocations, equipment manufacturers, component suppliers, and distributors.  Holly is a recognized environmental law and policy expert in the electronics field. 
  • As Director of Environmental Affairs for the Electronic Industry Alliance, Holly orchestrated the development and implementation of industry positions on key legislative, regulatory, and voluntary initiatives, including creation of the Consumer Education Initiative website (http://www.eiae.org), which provides consumers with recycling options for used electronics, and EIA Track (http://www.eiatrack.com) - the international environmental law and policy tracking services for the global electronics industry. 
  • Holly shepherded initial development of the EIA-JGPSSI Joint Industry Guide (http://www.eia.org/new_policy/jig_download.phtml) - an international material declaration template, which formed the basis for reporting standard IPC 1752 - a critical tool for achieving supply chain compliance with global chemical restrictions (http://members.ipc.org/committee/drafts/2-18_d_MaterialsDeclarationRequest.asp). 
  • Holly is a recognized industry expert on key environmental law and policy issues facing the electronics industry, including global and US chemical restrictions, energy efficiency mandates, recycling requirements, and green procurement initiatives.  
  • Holly has been a key participant in the development of the environmental chapters for the 2003, 2005, and 2008 iNEMI Environmental Roadmaps (http://www.inemi.org/cms/roadmapping/2007_iNEMI_Roadmap.html), the US Environmental Protection Agency's Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (http://www.epeat.net) and various design for the environment intiatives that impact the electronics industry. 
  • Holly represented the electronics circuit board industry on the US EPA's Design for the Environment Printed Wiring Board Project (http://www.epa.gov/dfe/pubs/projects/pwb/index.htm) and the computer industry on EPA's Computer Display Parnership (http://www.epa.gov/dfe/pubs/projects/computer/index.htm).
  • Holly was an industry stakeholder in the US EPA's Common Sense Initiative's Computers and Electronics Sector (http://www.epa.gov/sectors/otherprograms.html#csi). 
  • In 1995, she also helped manage the Eco-Efficiency Task Force of President Clinton's Council on Sustainable Development (http://clinton2.nara.gov/PCSD/).
